Translate Novels using the OpenNovel Extension

OpenNovel provides Chrome and Safari extensions that let you translate from protected websites with 1-click. It uses AI like ChatGPT, Gemini and DeepSeek which are much better than Google Translate.

Install the OpenNovel Extension

Click "Add to Chrome" to install the extension.

Go to the Raw Link and Open a Chapter Page

The extension will automatically detect if a chapter page can be translated.

Can't access the raw link?

Check that the novel is a Ridibooks web series

Refer to this guide to check if your novel is a Ridibooks web series or ebook before proceeding.

Click on the extension to start translating

Navigate to a chapter page on one of the supported websites. Click the Chrome extension, and then click "Translate chapter". You may be prompted to create an OpenNovel account - just create an account and then try translating again. Also, check out our FAQs for more tips on using OpenNovel.

Bulk import chapters from Websites

If you upgrade to Hobby, you'll be able to import multiple chapters at once into your library. With this, you can keep clicking next to translate the next chapter, without needing to go back and forth between the OpenNovel website and the extension.
